Often referred to simply as Rosanjin (1883-1952), his artistic name, he is world renowned as a calligrapher, ceramicist, engraver, painter, lacquer artist, and restaurateur. One of the great modern artist potters whom made functional wares for restaurants including his own restaurant in Tokyo. He mastered most of the styles of Japanese pottery and adapting them into modern designs.
