Suzuki Goro (b.1941) trained in traditional Japanese pottery techniques and styles favouring the Mino traditions of the Momoyama and early Edo styles of the 16th to 18th centuries. His works are a contemporary adaption of the styles of these early periods with a pronounced use of Oribe dark green copper type glaze as seen in the classic early Mino/Oribe wares. 

Geometric abstract designs often feature in Suzuki Goro works similar to the patterns on the aforementioned classic period ceramics however, with a fresh interpretation and often whimsical approach.
